When choosing lighting, you need to consider the features of stretch ceilings. They are made of PVC film or fabric. With constant heating above 60 degrees, the film can darken or melt.
Fabric is more resistant to high temperatures, it can withstand heating up to 80 degrees.
Remember a few basic rules:
- Choose lighting fixtures that do not heat up much.
- Choose incandescent lamps with a power of up to 60 W, and halogen lamps – up to 30 W, while it is important to maintain a distance from the lighting fixture to the canvas. It should be at least 30 cm.
- Mount the devices at a distance of at least 20 cm from the wall.
- If possible, use LED and energy-saving bulbs, as they hardly heat up during operation.
If the area of the canvas is large, to save electricity and protect the devices from short circuits or overheating, you can supplement the built-in models with a transformer.
