It is due to the presence of railings that the stairs have a beautiful finished look. Given this fact, the railing is very important in any staircase, which in turn imposes certain obligations on the manufacturer.

Current technologies greatly simplify the process of manufacturing railings. And it is worth noting that this applies not only to factory production, but also to its own. Based on this, the railing for stairs with your own hands is the result of a relatively simple home production process.

It is not difficult to guess that starting the manufacture of railings for the stairs with your own hands, first of all, it is necessary to understand what the whole structure consists of. The main elements of the railing are handrails and racks. Support racks are called balusters. It should be emphasized that balusters can be both upper and lower. At the same time, the type of material from which the railing is made does not matter. Whether it be a railing for metal stairs or for wood – their design is common. Stainless steel railing can be ordered here – Argo -PK, it will save time, and they are inexpensive.

Support racks are made much more massive compared to intermediate. It is very important, in the process of manufacturing the railing, take into account the maximum load that will be carried out during their operation. The minimum acceptable value of this parameter should be within a hundred kg. by meter. In addition, to increase safety, the distance between the racks should be within at least 12 cm.

If the staircase is narrow, then the railing can only be made on one side. But if, the width of the march will exceed 1.25 m. it is advisable to make a railing on both sides. The thing is that in this case, the movement of people can be carried out in two directions at the same time. In this case, the angle of inclination of the handrail must coincide with a similar indicator of the slope of the stairs march.
